2024 Cadillac Escalade Interior, Colors, Changes – The 2024 Cadillac Escalade, launched in 1998 as a rebadged GMC Yukon, has become a market staple in the U.S. SUV segment. At some point in their lives, most Americans have ridden in an Escalade, whether to pick up someone at the airport or to transport a large family and trailer. The 2024 Escalade is the most major evolution of the long-running marque’s fifth generation.
Other than the new 2024 GMC Yukon, which will also be built on the same platform, the Cadillac Escalade has the most significant interior space of any SUV offered in the United States, surpassing the Lincoln Navigator, Lexus LX 570, and Infiniti QX80. This year, Cadillac has made special efforts to ensure that its new flagship model is more than a Chevrolet or GMC with leather.
2024 Cadillac Escalade Redesign
In its fifth generation, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade Escalade is a completely redesigned full-size luxury SUV. The outer design of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade has been updated to include a 38-inch OLED display, Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance technology, and an available 36-speaker sound system.
It is eight inches longer and considerably wider than its predecessor, while the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV is 226.9 inches in length. A new independent rear suspension offers a vastly improved ride and handling balance, while the car’s chassis is altogether different. Air Ride is a revolutionary, flexible suspension technology that is now available.
Interior
The inside of the new 2024 Cadillac Escalade has received a more extensive redesign than its exterior. This voyage is characterized by opulent textiles, a plethora of high-tech advancements, and significantly more passenger space. Cadillac has preserved tactile controls for the ventilation system despite the fact that the dashboard is dominated by an industry-first curved OLED driver display. With a longer wheelbase and independent rear suspension, legroom in the third row can be increased by 40%.
In addition to leatherette upholstery and 12-way adjustable adjustments for the front seats, the standard equipment includes heated front seats, tri-zone climate control, remote start, and a hands-free power liftgate. Upper variants have a soft-close door system with a panoramic sunroof and a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system.
Engine
The 3.0-liter, six-cylinder Duramax turbodiesel engine is the big news for the 2024 Escalade. Unfortunately, it was not available for our test. At no additional cost, Escalade purchasers may choose between the turbodiesel’s performance and the engine 6.2-liter V8’s 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
In exchange for lower fuel efficiency, the V8’s 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque will provide faster acceleration. For those who do not get the appeal of a diesel Escalade, keep in mind that diesel engines enjoy idling and that many of these cars are used for limousine service. All engines come with a tow/haul mode and an automatic transmission with ten speeds that can be controlled electronically.
2024 Cadillac Escalade Release Date and Price
Despite its various enhancements, the price of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade is not significantly more than that of its predecessor. Nevertheless, such luxury and comfort come at a hefty cost. In addition to taxes, fees, and registration costs, the base Luxury model now includes a $1,295 destination fee. Next are Premium Luxury ($82,995) and Sport ($85,595). With a starting MSRP of $99,995, you can choose between the Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport Platinum trim levels. It will cost extra to upgrade to 4WD or the ESV with a large wheelbase.
