2025 Cadillac XT5: The Brand-New Range for China – People worldwide love the Cadillac XT5, but it sells the most in China, where it has been the brand’s best-selling car since it came out in 2016. However, the current XT5 is old and outdated, and cars like the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC are giving it a tough time. That is why Cadillac is planning a big makeover for the XT5, which will come out as a brand-new second-generation car in 2025.
The 2025 Cadillac XT5 will have a new look, a new base, a new interior, and more tech features. Cadillac has chosen to focus on its most significant and valuable market group, so this car will only be sold in China. The new XT5 will not be coming to the US market. Instead, people there will have to wait for a different crossover that will eventually replace both the XT5 and the XT6.
Design: Exterior and Interior
Drawing ideas from the Escala concept car and the Lyriq electric SUV, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 will look cleaner and more modern. The front of the car will have a prominent grille with vertical bars and a big crest logo. On either side of the grille will be thin LED headlights with vertical daytime running lights. The top will be shaped like a coupe, and the fenders will be big. The back will have straight LED taillights and a dual exhaust system.
It will also get a new look inside, making the 2025 Cadillac XT5 roomier and more elegant. The dashboard will look simple and modern, with a widescreen LED screen that will hold both the digital instrument panel and the entertainment system. Touch, voice, and motion controls will work with the screen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can connect wirelessly. There will be a rotary knob and buttons for the climate and drive modes in the center panel. The steering wheel will have paddle shifters and buttons that can do more than one thing.
The 2025 Cadillac XT5 will also have more comfort and convenience features, such as a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a head-up display, a surround-view camera system, a Bose premium sound system, ambient lighting, and more. The leather seats will heat, calm, and massage you. There will also be much room for goods. With the back seats folded down, there will be up to 1,784 liters of space.
Powertrain
New changes will be made to the E2 engine that supports the current Cadillac XT5. This will be used for the 2025 model. However, it will be lighter and stronger, making the car easier to drive and using less gas. On top of that, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 will have an active noise cancellation system, electric power steering, and four-wheel independent suspension.
The 2025 Cadillac XT5 may have more than one engine choice, but a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with about 240 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque and a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with about 360 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque are likely to be on the list. Either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive will be paired with each engine. The transmission will have nine speeds.
There may also be a hybrid or plug-in version of the 2025 Cadillac XT5. There may also be a high-performance V-Series model with more power and sharper looks.
