The 2025 Cadillac XT5 will introduce a major overhaul for the midsize crossover, with significant changes in exterior styling, interior design, platform, and powertrain. The new XT5 will be developed by GM China, which is responsible for the vehicle’s engineering and production. The new XT5 will also be based on the GM C1-2 platform, an updated version of the GM C1 platform that underpins the current model.
The new platform will enable the 2025 Cadillac XT5 to offer improved performance, efficiency, safety, and technology. The new XT5 will also feature a revised suspension, electric steering, and braking systems. Design: Exterior and Interior

Powertrain
The 2025 Cadillac XT5 will offer two engine options for the Chinese market: two engines with turbocharging: a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic gearbox that provides seamless and rapid shifts will be mated to both engines. The new XT5 will also offer an all-wheel drive system that enhances traction and stability in various road conditions.
Release Date and Price
The 2025 Cadillac XT5 will debut in China in late 2024 or early 2025. The price information is still pending announcement. Nevertheless, the pricing range for the new XT5 is probably going to be comparable to that of the present model, which starts at approximately 359,700 yuan ($55,600) and goes up to about 539,700 yuan ($83,400). The new XT5 will compete with other luxury midsize crossovers in China, such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, Lexus NX, and Volvo XC60.
The current generation of the Cadillac XT5 will continue to be sold in other markets, such as the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. The current XT5 will receive minor updates for the 2024 model year in these markets.
