Cadillac Lyriq 2024 Redesign, Interior, Specs – Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, intends to become an all-electric vehicle manufacturer by 2035. There is much that must occur in the next 14 years to reach our destination. The new Cadillac Lyriq of 2024 is an excellent starting point. Cadillac refers to the presentation of the Lyriq as a “pioneering moment” for the firm, although it was unveiled about a year before its official release date.
Before the initial delivery to consumers, The Lyriq offers an intriguing package consisting of various revolutionary technologies, the newest generation of the “Art & Science” exterior design language, and an interior with a gigantic LED display screen to convey Cadillac’s passion.
Redesign
Despite its “blank slate” style, the Lyriq nonetheless resembles a Cadillac. The brand’s emblem on the front grille is highlighted by a black crystal featuring a particular lighting pattern that extends around the sides and bottom. Instead of being part of the headlight assembly, the LED daytime running lights are two long strips on each side of the front end.
The ultra-narrow LEDs are positioned directly above them. Split taillights give the rear end a distinct appearance beginning on the C-pillars and continuing downwards towards the back window. Above the rear bumper, additional long lights divide the light pattern into two pieces, one on each side.
Interior
The interior is characterized by its ultramodern design. It is common to find 33-inch-diameter LED displays that can display over one billion colors. This enclosure contains both the instrument cluster and the touchscreen display for the driver. The controls for the climate control system are positioned in a single horizontal strip that is angled slightly toward the driver. The primary audio system has 19 speakers and headrest speakers from AKG Studio. Sky Cool Gray and Noir are the two interior color options.
On either side of the three-spoke steering wheel are controls for changing the speaker level, Bluetooth, and other infotainment system features. The transmission selector and cupholders are separated on the center console, divided into two portions. Also featured is noise-canceling technology of the highest caliber.
Engine
The Lyriq’s 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack can propel the vehicle due to its 340 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. The projected maximum driving distance is approximately 300 miles. At 190-kW charging stations, DC fast-charging can extend your range by up to 76 miles in just 10 minutes. In 30 minutes, the range may be increased by about 200 miles. A 19.2 kW home charging module and a dual-level charge cable are also included in the bundle for purchasers.
One-pedal operation and Regen on Demand are also essential features. A paddle located on the steering wheel that responds to hand pressure enables drivers to control the rate at which the vehicle decelerates and stops. Even though Cadillac doesn’t have exact performance data, the Lyriq’s curb weight of 5,610 pounds suggests that it will take about 5 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph.
Release Date and Price
The price of the base Lyriq model with a single rear-wheel-drive powertrain, including delivery, is $59,990. The Lyriq is at least $10,000 less expensive than its premium competitors and has a greater range than the base model of comparable luxury vehicles. Cadillac expects the Lyriq to go on sale in 2024 for a starting price of $59,990. The federal tax credit of $7,500 and state-specific incentives must also be considered. The play will be produced in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where bookings will begin in September. Beginning in the first half of 2024, shipments will commence.
