2024 Cadillac CT4-V Redesign, Interior, PriceThe Cadillac CT4-V is the only American rival in the German-dominated premium compact car segment. The car’s playful mood is effectively tempered by its sharp-looking design, which is Cadillac’s entry-level sedan. The CT4 comes with two engines: a basic 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 237 horsepower and a bigger 2.7L engine with 309 horsepower as an option.

The CT4 V-Blackwing will replace the Cadillac ATS-V, a popular performance sedan last seen in 2019. The Cadillac CT4 comes in three trim levels: base Luxury, mid-Premium Luxury, and top-of-the-line Sport, all of which have enough amenities to set them apart. The CT4 V line features a bigger engine, a 10-speed transmission, and rides quality enhancements. We’ll concentrate on the CT4’s most basic variants in this review.

The CT4-V is immediately recognizable as a member of the CT4 family, with only slight visual variations hinting at the higher performance you’d expect from a Caddy with the V moniker. New grilles, a discrete rear spoiler, quad-exit exhaust tips, and various gloss-black accents give the car a more sinister appearance, with LED headlights with highly unique vertical running lights being the most eye-catching aesthetic feature. 18-inch reels come standard with summer performance tires, while 19-inch wheels are also available. If requested, a power sunroof can be fitted for a small fee.

The CT4-V is readily recognizable from the outside because of its unique grille and quad-exhaust tips. On the inside, the V-series has a 14-speaker Bose premium sound system. In addition to the additional power, the CT4-V has adjustable magnetic dampers that change suspension firmness at the touch of a button.

Interior

As they glide through America’s bureaucrats, Cadillacs have always been a symbol of grandeur. The interior of the CT4 adds to the sense of luxury by being one of the most appealing of any compact premium sedan. The interiors are all black, a familiar concept for compact luxury sedans. However, mid-size and large-size sedans often have duo-tone interiors with brighter tones to make them appear more sophisticated. You may still pick from various upholstery colors, including tan, beige, and magenta.

The CT4-V can comfortably seat four people or five in a pinch, and the added length should help it out here. The legroom in the back seat, on the other hand, is only 33.4 inches, which is smaller than the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. There is plenty of headroom in the back seat and upfront, but if you have a larger frame, you may frequently bump elbows with the person riding shotgun. The seats in our sample were inflexible and ill-positioned for a 5’8″ frame, despite the lack of ventilation and massage. There are no difficult situations when it comes to getting in and out.

Engine

The basic engine produces 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and displaces 2.0 liters. The power is sent to the reels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. In Premium Luxury and V-Series trims, a bigger 2.7L 4-cylinder engine produces 309 horsepower in Premium Luxury and 325 horsepower in V trim. The larger engine also comes with a couple of extra gears, as the larger engine’s only transmission choice is a 10-speed automatic. 472 horsepower comes from the V-Series Blackwing’s 3.6L twin-turbo V6 engine, which can be paired with a six-speed manual or a ten-speed automated.

The CT4-V’s official EPA consumption ratings for the rear-wheel-drive variation are 20/29/23 mpg in the city/highway/combined cycle. At the same time, the all-wheel-drive model is somewhat worse, with 28 mpg on the highway and equal numbers for the other two processes. This amounts to about 391 miles of mixed driving with a 17-gallon gas tank.

In 2024, the Cadillac CT4-V will be released with a release date and price.

The standard rear-wheel-drive Cadillac CT4-V starts at $45,895 before destination and delivery charges of $1,195. If you opt for all-wheel drive, the MSRP jumps to $47,895. A fully-loaded vehicle will cost around $60,000 with all bells and whistles switched on. CT4s for 2022 are already in the works, and reservations have started. They should be available in dealerships before the end of the year.
