2024 Cadillac Lyric Price, Range, InteriorThe all-new Cadillac Lyriq for 2024 is a great place to start. The Lyriq’s introduction is described as a “pioneering moment” for Cadillac, as proven by the fact that it was disclosed more than a year before customer deliveries began. Cadillac is proper to be excited about the Lyriq. It has a lot of technology, the most recent version of the “Art & Science” exterior design language, and a giant LED display panel in the interior.

The Cadillac Lyriq was built from the ground up and will use GM’s new scalable battery architecture; the company claims that the dedicated EV architecture provides a low center of gravity and a large cabin. The Lyriq is expected to sell in early 2023 as a 2024 model.

The Lyriq is a “blank-slate” design, but it is unmistakably a Cadillac. Because of the black crystal, the powerful front grille stands out, with a dramatic lighting pattern flowing along the sides and bottom, essentially encircling the brand’s logo. Instead of being integrated into the headlight assembly, LED daytime running lights are made up of two broad strips, one on each side of the front end. The ultra-narrow LEDs are above them. Split taillights that start on the C-pillars and extend and bend downwards towards the back glass give the car an equally distinctive design. A set of additional long lights over the rear bumper divides the light pattern again on either side.

Overall, the Lyriq in production appears almost identical to the concept. 20-inch split six-spoke alloy reels are standard, with 22-inches available as an option. Satin Steel Metallic or Stellar Black Metallic is the only exterior color available. The black roof and lower body panel combo on the former, as seen above, look terrific. The most noticeable changes seem to be changed to the front and back fascias and broader side mirrors. These are the most noticeable changes.

Interior

The inside has a modern and clean style. A large 33-inch curved LED display with over one billion colors is included as standard. The driver’s gauge cluster and touchscreen display are housed in this compartment. The HVAC buttons run along a single horizontal strip, mildly slanted towards the driver beneath the touchscreen. Standard equipment includes a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system with headrest speakers. Sky Cool Gray and Noir are the two interior colors available.

The three-spoke steering wheel controls regulate speaker volume, Bluetooth, and other infotainment system functions on either side of the three-spoke steering wheel. The gear selector dial is located in the section closest to the driver, while a pair of cupholders is situated in the center console’s second half. A sophisticated noise-cancellation mechanism is also included.

Engine

Anyone worried about a lack of performance should relax after reading the following few paragraphs. The Lyriq, built on the Ultium platform, is powered by a 12-module, 100-kWh battery pack that produces 343 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Drivers should expect a range of roughly 300 miles. Because of its DC fast-charging capability can add 76 miles of range in around 10 minutes at 190-kW charging stations. You can obtain nearly 200 miles of range in 30 minutes. It also comes with a dual-level charge connection and a 19.2 kW home charging module, which lets you get 52 miles of range per hour when you charge your car.

Regen on Demand technology and one-pedal driving are two other useful features. When used together, they allow drivers to control how quickly the car slows down and comes to a complete stop by applying hand pressure to a steering wheel-mounted paddle. Despite the Lyriq’s considerable curb weight of 5,610 pounds, Cadillac did not disclose particular performance figures, though a 0-60 mph time of roughly 5 seconds sounds reasonable.

In 2024, the Cadillac Lyric will be released and priced.

Cadillac has revealed that the Lyriq will start at $59,990 in 2023. There’s also the $7,500 federal tax credit to consider and various state-specific incentives. Reservations will open in September in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where the production will occur. The first deliveries will start in the first half of 2023.

The all-electric SUV class and luxury EVs like the Lyriq will grow in popularity. The Tesla Model Y will be its main competitor upon debut. Both vehicles are comparable in size, albeit the Tesla has a (small) third row. The Model Y is similarly less expensive at first, although the performance variation is only a few thousand dollars more expensive than the Lyriq. The Audi e-Tron, which starts at $65,900 before tax credits, is another possible competitor.
