2024 Cadillac XT6 Model, Price, SpecsThe Cadillac XT6 is one of the brand’s newest models, having only been introduced two years ago. It has a stunning outward design and is one of the most appealing midsize SUVs. On the other hand, the interior isn’t exactly cutting-edge, and the V6 engine isn’t precisely fuel-efficient. The XT6 shares a lot with the GMC Acadia in terms of underpinnings and mechanical components, although you wouldn’t understand it by looking at it. The Cadillac features a striking exterior and an opulent interior design.

The XT6, like rival utes like the Acura MDX and the Lincoln Aviator, is better suited for opulent family mobility. It’s available with either a turbocharged four-cylinder or a naturally aspirated V-6 engine and front or all-wheel drive. Despite having a torque-vectoring rear differential, the Sport trim lacks the agility of key competitors such as the Audi Q7 and BMW X5.

2024 Cadillac XT6 Redesign

Cadillac’s midsize SUV will receive only minor updates in 2024. Brembo brakes with red-painted calipers are now standard on the Sport model, while cars with the Platinum package get a steering wheel upholstered in Modena leather instead of the Turin leather last year. Outside power-folding mirrors are now standard, and a new 21-inch wheel design is available as an option. The leather-trimmed steering wheel in the Platinum package now has Modena leather instead of Turin leather. There is also a new 21-inch alloy wheel option for the Platinum package.

The Sport trim comes standard with Brembo brakes with red calipers. All models now come standard with exterior motorized folding mirrors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic warning. The exterior paint palette has also been modified. The best characteristic of recent Cadillacs is undoubtedly their design, and the 2017 Cadillac XT6 is no exception. On the top Sport variant, vertical LED daytime running lights draw attention to slender LED headlights and a wide gloss black grille with unique mesh. There are a sunroof and roof rails. There is also a subtle roof spoiler and sizeable dual-exit exhaust pipes.

Interior

The Cadillac XT6 is available with seven or eight seats, with the second row including either a pair of captain’s chairs or a three-seat bench. The XT6 has a third row that seats three people as standard. The XT6’s interior trim fails to impress when compared to the Audi Q7 or the BMW X5. There is very little cargo room, with only three pieces of carry-on luggage allowed. However, by lowering the back two rows, enough space for 31 suitcases is created. The Q7 can hold four cases behind its third row, but only 25 with the seats folded down, so if you frequently travel with heavy and bulky items, the XT6 is the better alternative.

Soft-touch plastics and aluminum-look accents contrast with the black-only synthetic leather in the base model. Still, the Premium Luxury and Sport variations, which get genuine leather, have more rigid plastics. The Premium Luxury trim is made of exotic wood, while the Sport trim is carbon-look 3D plastic. Jet Black, Cirrus, and Dark Auburn are the three hues available. Semi-aniline leather in Jet Black or Maple Sugar is also available, but it requires a package that costs up to $11,350.

Engine

In 2024, the Cadillac XT6 will come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Although the 3.6-liter V6 makes 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, the twitchy throttle remains, so be cautious pulling away in traffic. The machine is well-suited for daily driving in other Cadillac products, but here it feels like an asthmatic smoker with emphysema is pretending to be Fred Flinstone behind the hood. If only the nine-speed automatic transmission, which is one of the best out there, does a great job of masking the shortcomings of the less powerful engine.

Forced induction benefits the smaller 2.0L engine since it feels more responsive and is a better engine overall. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automated transmission that sends power to the front reels as standard, with AWD as an option. Although the performance isn’t sluggish, the 7.7-second 0-60 mph time isn’t the fastest in the segment. The XT6’s quarter-mile sprint takes over 15 seconds, which is to be expected for such a huge SUV.

2024 the Cadillac XT6 release date and price.

The Cadillac XT6 is a pricey vehicle. The Luxury is the most economical model in the series, with an introductory price of $48,595 in the United States before a $1,195 destination tax. The mid-level Premium Luxury trim costs $52,920, while the top-of-the-line Sport trim costs $58,295 and is the only one featuring AWD by default. When fully equipped, the Cadillac XT6 with all the bells and whistles can cost more than $75,000
