2024 Cadillac XT6 Redesign, Interior Colors, Price – The XT6 has been Cadillac’s go-to weapon against the Germans in the already congested midsize premium SUV segment. And, considering the segment’s popularity, it appears like everyone wants a piece of cake for themselves. The 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 and the 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 engines from the XT6 will be kept for the 2024 generation. It comes after Cadillac’s Big Daddy, the Escalade, and is marketed as a midsize, high-end SUV that isn’t too big or too small.
This 2024 model will be more evolution than a revolution, so no significant design changes are expected, but some rough edges will be smoothed down, and the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system is desired. So, it’s safe to say that when the 2024 XT6 comes out, it will cost around $48,000. It will be a little more than that to compete with the industry’s three German cars.
Redesign of the Cadillac XT6 2024
In terms of design, the Cadillac XT6 in 2024 will be very similar to the current model. Regardless, it appears to be a scaled-down version of the Cadillac, and we believe it complements the vehicle’s overall design. Overall, the plan seems to be mature and masculine. It looks more like a crossover than an SUV, which we think is good. Although there are some design similarities between the Escalade and the smaller XT5 and XT4, it is clear that Cadillac wanted the Escalade’s basic outline to be comparable.
The front is dominated by the huge pentagonal grille with the Cadillac logo, while the IntelliBeam all-LED headlights appear as gems on the sides. The massive air dams and sparse use of chrome on the grille give it a meaner, more refined appearance. Thanks to the 20″ 6-spoke alloy wheels, the side profile is also manly. While the back is curved compared to the overall edgy appearance, it mixes well with the vehicle.
While twitchy steering and floaty suspension may be overlooked, the Cadillac XT6’s interior is where the benefits and flaws are most apparent. Unfortunately, there are additional reasons to shun the XT6 here since the SUV’s construction quality and cabin design look like a sham compared to its pricing. It isn’t offensive, but it isn’t up to snuff. Despite this, everything works well, and there are numerous standard features, including heated power front seats, a Bose sound system, and an immersive driver information display.
Soft-touch plastics and aluminum-look accents contrast with the black-only synthetic leather in the base model. Still, the Premium Luxury and Sport variations, which get genuine leather, have more rigid plastics. The Premium Luxury trim is made of exotic wood, while the Sport trim is carbon-look 3D plastic. Jet Black, Cirrus, and Dark Auburn are the three hues available. Semi-aniline leather in Jet Black or Maple Sugar is also available, but it requires a package that costs up to $11,350.
The Cadillac XT6 in 2024 is expected to use the same engines as the Cadillac XT6 in 2021 under the hood. A 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine with 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque is standard on the basic model. The other engine, a 3.6L V6 with 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, is available starting with the Premium Luxury grade. Given that a new 2.0L engine will be delivered in 2021, it’s logical that the company would want to focus on other concerns this year.
Forced induction benefits the smaller 2.0L engine since it feels more responsive and is a better engine overall. Both machines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that sends the standard of power to the front wheels, with AWD as an option. Although the performance isn’t sluggish, the 7.7-second 0-60 mph time isn’t the fastest in the segment. The XT6’s quarter-mile sprint takes over 15 seconds, which is to be expected for such a huge SUV.
2024 Cadillac XT6 release date and price.
The Cadillac XT6 is a pricey vehicle. The Luxury is the most economical model in the series, with an introductory price of $48,595 in the United States before a $1,195 destination tax. The mid-level Premium Luxury trim costs $52,920, while the top-of-the-line Sport trim costs $58,295 and is the only one featuring AWD by default. When fully equipped, the Cadillac XT6 with all the bells and whistles can cost more than $75,000.
