New 2024 Cadillac XT5 Price, Redesign, Models – With the introduction of the 2024 Cadillac XT5, Cadillac changed the game. After a long wait, they finally released a premium crossover automobile, and it sold like hotcakes. Since 2017, Cadillac’s best-selling vehicle has been the XT5 SUV. The Caddy’s main competitors are midsize and compact crossovers; they are not its siblings. Perhaps Cadillac thought the new XT5 would find its place, not quite as massive as the former but not as small as the latter.

Due to its central location and premium badge, it now has twice as much competition. The XT5 faces stiff competition from the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. The US market isn’t as patriotic as one might think, with both German manufacturers selling more cars than Cadillac on a regular basis.

2024 Cadillac XT5, distinguishable by their red calipers, are now standard equipment on the Sport grade. As a further option, there is a new 12-spoke 20-inch pearl nickel alloy wheel. There have also been a few minor changes made to the default and optional settings. It was decided to introduce some new shades of paint while also eliminating some older ones. As a consequence, Cadillac’s sedan and crossover/SUV designs are eye-catching at the moment.

With its LED headlights, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 is immediately recognizable as a Caddy. Daytime-running lights and rear LED lights are included as well. A gloss-black roof rail is added to the Sport trim, which has metallic accents and brushed aluminum roof rails.

Interior

When you take a look inside the 2024 Cadillac XT5, the astronomical price tag makes a lot more sense. The Caddy is not only spacious, but it also comes equipped with a bevy of features as standard equipment on all models and trim levels. Most importantly, though, are the luxury features that have been syphoned into the entry-level car.

When it was first released, the ordinary XT5 didn’t have the most impressive list of features. However, throughout the years, Cadillac has continued to improve it, with the most recent inclusion of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Simple controls make it easy to operate the high-resolution infotainment system. The inside is also of a high quality, with several notable design features. There’s something intriguing about the steering wheel’s design, which blends leather and buttons with an appealing old-school wooden strip running beneath.

Engine

There are two engine options available. The 2024 Cadillac XT5 turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The previous generation’s 3.6-liter V6 engine made 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque with a normally aspirated design. The little engine is all that’s available on the base Luxury trim level, while the mid-level Premium Luxury trim level has both. Only the V6 and all-wheel drive are offered on the top-of-the-line “Sport” model.

Despite its light weight, the turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers power comparable to that of the segment leaders. Having this in mind, the Cadillac should be able to compete with its German rivals, but it just can’t. One of the main points of criticism is the transmission, which was designed primarily with fuel economy in mind rather than performance in mind. Because of this, it kicks down a split second slower than the German eight-speed boxes.
